It is a retention account that can be requested to be opened in three type of foreign currencies USD, GBP & EUR. Furthermore, up to 50% of the export’s proceeds can be credited into ESFCA for retention of USD or making business payments abroad. Permissible amount shall be retained in ESFCAs, unless an exporter specifically requests in writing to the Bank for less/ not crediting the export proceeds in the ESFCA.
The funds available in the ESFCAs can be converted into PKR at any time upon the request of the customer.
